Finding ID Number of an Icon

We need to find ID number of an Icon which we would like to use.

First click  Window – Customization – Customize Commands

Write the command you wish to use as an icon. In this example we have used Cube,Sphere and Cone. Write Cube for example. Click on it and you should see an ID number. Right click this ID number and select copy text.

Creating Userdata Interface with Icons

Now create simple userdata example; Create a null object,  click Userdata – Add Userdata from Attributes manager. Add an Integer data type and select Cycle as an Interface.

Your syntax should be like this : 0; YOUR TEXT ; ID NUMBER

In this example we have used a cube as a first object (It starts from zero) so it’s : 0; CUBE ; 5159 (Please note that we have deleted ID string, we should only use the number.)

For to speed things up you can simply paste your copied text from customize commands window and delete ID string.
